Let Your Life Be A Story of Change (inspired by The Wolf Man)

from The Horror Hymns of Creepy Cove Vol. 2 by Peter Laws

lyrics

Let me tell you a story of change.
Cos life was never meant to be samey.
It reminds me of the son of Lon Chaney.
Who was frequently seen.
Looking so pristine.

Just a fine man dressed in a tie.
Who even said he prayers by night.
But when the moon was full and bright.
He got hairy again,
But with his shirt tucked in.

And for so many years he'd fight it.
But now he's lost the sad look in his eyes.
And now he lives a new life despite it.
And the reason why he got so wise?

CHORUS
Things are meant to change.
And to live your life thinking they won't is pretty strange.
Even hard times show.
That you can see life in new colours when you know.
That tomorrow really is a new day.
And cliche's okay.

So let me tell you a story of change.
It's the way the cross is used in the movies.
In the 60s it would be groovy.
To scare a vampire away,
But by the 80s you'd say.

That the cross, relied on your faith.
Then by Twilight, crosses were missing.
Less biting and more kissing.
Sparkle was the new black.
But then it all comes back.

In the end maybe change is 'chatter'.
There are things that will always appeal.
Does the passing of time even matter,
As long as love is real?

CHORUS
So know that things are meant to change.
And to live your life thinking they won't is pretty strange.
Even hard times show.
That you can see life in new colours when you know.
That tomorrow really is a new day.
And cliche's okay.

Let your life be a story of change.
Let your life be a story of change.
And exchange.

SOLO

CHORUS
...even hard times show.
That you can see life in new colours when you know.
That tomorrow really is a new day.
And that's okay.

Let your life be a story of change.
Let your life be a story of change.
And that's okay.
