I looked in the mirror and I said okay. Tilted my head in a Myers way. Wanted to voice what I always say. But I am skipping self-hate today. CHORUS Long...Live...Long...Live... The New Flesh. I got dressed, happy with each side. Threw my front door open wide. Walking the streets...I'm electrified. Feeling pretty good, cos the old flesh died. So... CHORUS Long...Live...Long...Live... The New Flesh. Fella in the road calls out my name Says people like me should walk in shame. Asks me why I'm happy when I look so lame. Loaded my words and I took aim. Saying. CHORUS Long...Live...Long...Live. The New Flesh. I will not allow myself to be. My enemy. Takes your glasses off so you can see my Physicality. Laugh it up, and cut my tie, but you will never own my eyes. SOLO... CHORUS Long...Live... Long...Live... The New Flesh. Long...Live... Long...Live... The New Flesh. Long...Live... Long...Live... The New Flesh. Long...Live... Long...Live... The New Flesh.

Abide with me, fast falls the eventide The darkness deepens Lord, with me abide When other helpers fail and comforts flee Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away Change and decay in all around I see O Thou who changest not, abide with me I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if Thou abide with me Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee In life, in death, o Lord, abide with me Abide with me, abide with me

Can you remember? When we first saw Annabelle? Just a doll sent up from hell. We were stressed and scared, But at least we cared. Do you remember? How you cried when we got home. Cos the devil said you'd die alone. It took half the night, just to make it right. Oh girl... You have never turned a case away. You sacrificed your hair when it turned grey. And I don't think the clients even realise. The pain behind your eyes. Because you always meet them with a smile. Even when their demons act so vile. You take them in your arms and say, 'It'll be okay.' But each time you fade away... CHORUS Lorraine... Look at your hand, I am holding it. And every haunted thing we find. Look I am folding it away. We can close the door and laugh again. I will never let you go. We're together for a reason And my reason is to let you glow... Can you remember? When we booked a weekend in to chill. Then we got the call from Amityville. We put the wine away, no time to dance that day. And do you remember... When the pig demon pinned you down? Then it followed you back into town. You just couldn't hide. Yet they said you lied. I know, that those accusations cut you deep. So many nights of stolen sleep. Don't think the haters ever realised. All the good that's in your eyes. Yet you always greet them with a smile. Even though they put your heart on trial. But you stand up tall and say, That's you'll be okay. Yet each time you fade away. CHORUS Lorraine... Look at your hand, I am holding it. And every haunted thing we find. Look I am folding it away. We can close the door and laugh again. I will never let you go. We're together for a reason And my reason is to let you glow... Lorraine... Look at your hand, I am holding it. And every haunted thing we find. Look I am folding it away. We can close the door and laugh again. I will never let you go. We're together for a reason And my reason is to let you glow... So, Lorraine... Look at your hand, I am holding it. And even when I'm dead and gone. I'll be just folded for a day. You'll be in my arms and we'll laugh again. Even death won't make me go. We're together for a reason And my reason is to let you glow... I'm together for a reason and my reason is to let you glow...

When I was a vampire. I thought I'd show her love. Brought her to the castle. Wore my metal glove. And when we finished dancing, I dragged the milkmaid in. Then I slit her throat into a glass, 'Baby...Dive right in!' Then she screamed. Grabbed her phone. And once again I am dining alone. CHORUS I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't take it. I hate it. When I was the wolf man, I took her to the zoo. Hid behind the wolf cage. Did what I had to do. I came out on all fours and I thought she'd like to see. Me tearing off the heads of the nearest happy family. But she screamed, grabbed her gun. And said she did not think it was fun. CHORUS I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't take it. I hate it. SOLO When I am a dead man. I'll keep her close to me. She can take me anywhere. Don't care if people see. She can pick the movie. I'll have nothing to say. But when I start to whisper. I bet she runs away. And my hand may be cold. But then she said she wants to get old with me. CHORUS I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't take it. I hate it. CHORUS I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't get this damn 'love' thing right. I can't take it. I hate it.

CHORUS There's a demon in my pocket What am I gonna do? The sucker keeps a' callin. With a cute pop socket And a case of sapphire blue. But it's language is appalling. Just the other day I was with my wife. She was telling me the biggest secret of her life. Then she looked at me, and started to cry. Cos I was posting a recipe for pumpkin pie.... CHORUS There's a demon in my pocket What am I gonna do? The sucker keeps a' callin. With a cute pop socket And a case of sapphire blue. But it's language is appalling. I was at my kid's nativity Such a wholesome, good activity. But my kid'd big line, 'No Room at the Inn!' Was drowned out by me laughing at Linked-In. CHORUS There's a demon in my pocket What am I gonna do? The sucker keeps a' callin. With a cute pop socket And a case of sapphire blue. And my dad cred is fallin' Late at night, I can feel the dream. Calling my name. From across the stream. And one day I'll go. But not before I see. Some guy I don't know. Setting out his English Tea. Yeah, there's a demon in my pocket. What am I gonna do. And frankly I am tetchy. Told my boss that the queen. Is a lizard, drinking grue. And the dummy called me 'sketchy'. There are times when I'd like to be free. But the power of the zeitgeist compels me. Besides the demon don't ask much of me. Just my thumb and my mind and an exorbitant monthly fee. CHORUS There's a demon in my pocket What am I gonna do? The sucker keeps a' callin. With a cute pop socket And a case of sapphire blue. But it's language is appalling. CHORUS There's a demon in my pocket What am I gonna do? The sucker keeps a' callin. (it's callin me right now). With a cute pop socket And a case of sapphire blue. But it's language is... Excuse me, I just gotta check this.

If you really think about it. You might not be hearing me This could be a simulation. Where you're told that you are free. What if you are dreaming now. But when you sleep, you're wide awake. You might trust your family. When every smile they give is fake. CHORUS This could stop me living my life. This could stop me living my life. This could stop me living my life. (There is no true way of knowing). This could stop me living my life. What if you're a character who lives inside a scary book. Can you prove that you exist, without the reader there to look. Could your story be so boring. That they soon will close the page. Have you pulled the carpet back. To check if you are on a stage? CHORUS This could stop me living my life. This could stop me living my life. This could stop me living my life. (There is no true way of knowing). This could stop me living my life. What if this is a dead planet Drifting into silent space And you are just an echo. Like a ghost without a time or place. Maybe you were in crash. When you were barely seventeen. You's still trapped inside the car. And all your life has been the scream. There is no true way of knowing. There is no true way of knowing. CHORUS This could stop me living my life. This could stop me living my life. This could stop me living my life. (There is no true way of knowing). This could stop me living my life.

Let me tell you a story of change. Cos life was never meant to be samey. It reminds me of the son of Lon Chaney. Who was frequently seen. Looking so pristine. Just a fine man dressed in a tie. Who even said he prayers by night. But when the moon was full and bright. He got hairy again, But with his shirt tucked in. And for so many years he'd fight it. But now he's lost the sad look in his eyes. And now he lives a new life despite it. And the reason why he got so wise? CHORUS Things are meant to change. And to live your life thinking they won't is pretty strange. Even hard times show. That you can see life in new colours when you know. That tomorrow really is a new day. And cliche's okay. So let me tell you a story of change. It's the way the cross is used in the movies. In the 60s it would be groovy. To scare a vampire away, But by the 80s you'd say. That the cross, relied on your faith. Then by Twilight, crosses were missing. Less biting and more kissing. Sparkle was the new black. But then it all comes back. In the end maybe change is 'chatter'. There are things that will always appeal. Does the passing of time even matter, As long as love is real? CHORUS So know that things are meant to change. And to live your life thinking they won't is pretty strange. Even hard times show. That you can see life in new colours when you know. That tomorrow really is a new day. And cliche's okay. Let your life be a story of change. Let your life be a story of change. And exchange. SOLO CHORUS ...even hard times show. That you can see life in new colours when you know. That tomorrow really is a new day. And that's okay. Let your life be a story of change. Let your life be a story of change. And that's okay.

What is happening to me? I cannot see straight. Trapped and tired in the debris. I cannot calibrate. This is darkness. I'm in darkness. You tell me that there is pathway. I cannot find it. I just want to walk away. But I am blinded. This is darkness. CHORUS Falling below. Losing my blood flow. Each day is night. Every kiss, a dog bite. Scroll filled with woe. Waiting for the afterglow. Be my line of sight. Guide my feet with firelight. With fire... Rise and see the monster with me. I walk beside it. Sky turns black from all the killer bees. So let me ride it. This is darkness. I'm in darkness. CHORUS Falling below. Losing my blood flow. Each day is night. Every kiss, a dog bite. Scroll filled with woe. Waiting for the afterglow. Be my line of sight. Guide my feet with firelight. With fire... With fire... BREAK
9.
Women...who are also werewolves. Come across different in the stories that we've told. You see the WolfMEN were seen as victims. Gentleman who were bitten and lost control. But the she wolves, they kind of liked it. The folklore said it just female release. And the bottom line of that message. Is that women kind are closer to being a beast. CHORUS It's pretty messed up. It's pretty insane. But if you pay attention. You'll see it again and again. Old stereotypes of gender. Are just enough to send ya, mad. maybe be a bit like God. And throw labels in the blender. Think of men in the position. Of realising that they're women after all. So they go through, a transition. And most of us accept them, dress and all. That's cool. But in horror movies, at least in the old days. Gender confusion meant criminally insane. And you'd never get normal trans-folk Just Buffalo Bill and Angela and Michael Caine. CHORUS It's pretty messed up. It's pretty insane. But if you pay attention. You'll see it again and again. That the stereotypes of gender. Are just enough to send ya. Maybe be a bit like God. And throw labels in the blender. The female body in horror. When it's not sold as sensation. Is killing guys as monstrous. With the fear of menstruation. Or the tropes of messed up motherhood. And the Final Girl converging. Or the fact that pristine innocence. Can be only found in a virgin. Or the phallic use of weapons. And the penetrating knife. Or the fact the hero is the guy. With a 'supplementary' wife. Oh, it must be so exhausting. To see yourself on screen. As nothing but a crude cartoon. Based on what men have seen. Ah... But wait a sec....the thing about horror. As well being old, it's also pretty new. There more screen time here for women. At least more than Oscar winners seem to do. And these movies, have some kickass women. And the genre's getting more inclusive by the day. but hey There's still a ways to travel. So don't be shocked if you see one and you say... CHORUS That it's pretty messed up. It's pretty insane. But if you pay some attention. You'll see it again and again. That the stereotypes of gender. Are just enough to send ya mad. Maybe be a bit like God And throw labels in the blender. Labels in the blender.

There's a strange old man. Sitting in my TV. And when I try to be a better me. He taps the screen so I know he sees. He's a very clever man. He keeps my book of failures. He was there at my ultra-scan. Guiding my behaviours. CHORUS Cos I am rusting and unchanged. A padlocked, junkyard, old gate. A silent house by the river. But the river runs to the sea. And in the centre, a magic dream. A purring rocket. Quivering. Bouncing netted children. Like flies inside a web. But as the moon slides by. I think about the petals. All the tip-toed days of loss. Awarded with his medals. And this is not an easy thing. For me to flip the station. But tonight is the night I start A different conversation. CHORUS Cos I am rusting and unchanged. A padlocked, junkyard, old gate. A silent house by the river. But the river runs to the sea. And in the centre, a magic dream. A purring rocket. Quivering. Bouncing netted children. Like flies inside a web. MIDDLE And I feel like... I could skip the riot and not be found. I could swim the river and not be drowned. And I feel like... I could swing this rocket over Mars. And the stars would let me be. CHORUS Cos I am rusting and unchanged. A padlocked, junkyard, old gate. A silent house by the river. But the river runs to the sea. And in the centre, a magic dream. A purring rocket. Quivering. Bouncing netted children. Like flies inside a web. I am rusting and unchanged. I am rusting and unchanged. I am rusting and unchanged.
